Cyber Summit:

Call For Presenters

Introduction

The USAREUR-AF Cyber Summit is a premier multi-track cybersecurity event held annually, bringing together military leaders, Department of Defense (DoD) experts, NATO allies, international partners, and industry professionals. With an expectation of over 600 participants from across the globe, the summit features multiple tracks dedicated to technical, organizational, and research topics that address the entire cyber threat landscape

Types of Submissions

Submissions should align with one of the following themes:

  • Executive: Lead the Charge – Strategic insights and visionary leadership for today’s cybersecurity executives.
  • Technical: Sharpen Your Skills – Dive deep into the latest tools, techniques, and best practices for cybersecurity professionals.
  • Compliance/Law: Navigate the Landscape – Master the evolving world of cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, and legal frameworks.
  • Emerging Technologies: The Future is Here – Explore the latest advancements in cybersecurity, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, quantum computing, and other transformative innovations shaping the future of digital defense.
  • Workforce Development: Empower the Future – Cultivate the next generation of cyber defenders through innovative education, training, and mentorship.

Tips for Being Selected as a Speaker

  • Use the Full 45 Minutes – Plan your session to make full use of the allotted 45 minutes. Avoid ending too early, as this can throw off the agenda and reduce the value of your presentation.
  • Prepare for Q&A – Allocate time for questions and answers within the 45-minute session. Be ready to address audience inquiries and provide thoughtful responses.
  • Avoid Sales Pitches – Focus on sharing knowledge and expertise rather than promoting products or services. Sessions perceived as sales-driven are less likely to be selected.
  • Tailor Content to the Audience – Keep in mind the diverse audience, which includes military leaders, DoD personnel, NATO allies, industry professionals, and researchers. Ensure your content is relevant to their needs and expertise.
  • Balance Technical Depth and Accessibility – While intermediate and advanced technical content is preferred, ensure your session is accessible to a broad audience. Avoid excessive jargon/acronyms and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Align with Summit Themes – Ensure your proposal aligns with one of the summit’s key themes (e.g., Executive Leadership, Technical Skills, Compliance, Emerging Technologies, Workforce Development). Proposals that fit within these tracks are more likely to be selected.
